League of Legends can help World: Part 1

Before I start this off, I am using League of Legends because it is the biggest video game in the world, but this could apply to all video games.
This may seem like an interesting topic to focus on considering this blog focuses on the well being of the Earth, but hear me out. The world is a beautiful, and video games simulate worlds that individual people see as beautiful in there own ways. So why can't we all just love Earth? Why can't we all form a community, like the thousands of enormous gaming communities, and play a game on Earth? A game where we try to make the most optimal Earth we possibly can. I am going to go over different genres of games and how each one could have an impact on the world, but for now I am going to focus on video games as a whole.
People spend 3 billion of hours of games playing video games a week. Not a year, not a month, but a week. That is ridiculous and should be much less. I like video games, and believe me, I can sometimes get wrapped up in a game for hours if I don't pay attention to the time. However, that is not what I do all the time, I do other things, mostly school and sports, to help the community and make myself a better person. Every single person who spends too much time playing video games is just wasting their potential.
Enough hating on video game players. Don't worry, I am one too and I know that I play too much at times. Anyway, video games and social media have opened up a huge new world for us. I said before that every new game creates a new world for people to explore, and this allows people to ignore reality. Some people may use it as an escape from stress, some from family or personal issues, and other because they are addicted. However, whatever the reason, people are beginning to lose sight of the world we live in right now, and that is unacceptable. People have to realize that the world we live on now is the most beautiful world they have ever seen.
Video games have a hidden potential that could bring the entire world together without having to wait 4 years per event. Video games have formed great communities of millions of people, just imagine if these communities focused on something outside of the game. I know what they could do. They could stop pretending to be a hero in a game, and be a real hero and help save the world. Lets be honest, everyone, not just gamers, have dreamed of saving the world one time or another, and now with the power of communities formed by video games and social media anyone can do it.

Help the Earth by sharing this blog. I know that this is not the most professional blog out there, nor the most informative, I just want to help the planet in the way I find as most effective. Thank you all for reading and these short lists will continue for as long as I can think of ways to help the Earth.
